A currency selector is not a payment gateway
A panel may let you view USD service rates as an estimate in another currency. That feature does not establish a local-currency wallet, a local bank account or a new payment method. Treat the supplier wallet, display estimate and checkout charge as separate concepts. Sociovaults uses USD for its parent wallet; inspect the actual funding screen for the payment options offered to your account.
Start with the route you can actually use
For a Kenyan buyer, M-Pesa is a relevant option to ask about; for Ghana, mobile money may be relevant; for South Africa, cards and EFT may be relevant. These are buying considerations, not promises that each route is activated on Sociovaults. A gateway’s published capabilities depend on merchant eligibility, activation, currency and account settings. A logo on a public page is not proof of a working checkout.
Read the complete quote
Before confirming a deposit, check the amount charged, its currency, the processing fee and the USD wallet credit. If a conversion is involved, compare the quote with your planning estimate without assuming they must match exactly. A reference exchange rate and a payment provider’s applied rate can differ. If the credited amount is unclear, ask before paying rather than trying to infer it from the currency symbol.
Use the correct currency code in records
Country names and currency symbols can be ambiguous. Record KES, GHS, ZAR, EGP, MAD, DZD, TZS, TND or XOF as appropriate for your own transaction. XOF and XAF are different currency codes. Keep the original charged amount and the resulting supplier-wallet amount together. Do not rewrite a historical payment using today’s conversion rate when reconciling an older deposit.
Distinguish a bank receipt from a gateway confirmation
A sending-bank or mobile-app receipt shows information about that transfer. A gateway email or payment reference can provide a different part of the deposit trail. For an uncredited deposit, explain what evidence you have and what is missing. Do not share full card details, passwords or one-time codes. Check the account’s transaction history before repeating a payment that appeared to time out.
Keep order complaints on the order path
If your wallet was funded and you placed an order that is incomplete, start with the order ID. That is not automatically a missing-deposit investigation. Explain the status, requested quantity and observed delivery. An eligible credit for an undelivered portion normally needs to be distinguished from a cash refund of a deposit. Refer to the published policy and the recorded transactions for the actual outcome.
Check funding before scaling a reseller operation
Confirm the usable payment route and its limits before accepting customer orders that require immediate supplier funding. Consider the time between a customer payment and available supplier balance. Keep a clear retail refund process without promising a supplier outcome you have not verified. Document the exchange and fee assumptions used in your retail pricing so your margin calculation remains useful.
Use your own account instructions
Open the site directly and follow the funding steps shown after sign-in. Be cautious about requests to send money to a different address outside the account workflow. Keep the deposit reference and timestamp. If a method is absent, contact support to confirm availability rather than assuming the public country guide, an API integration list or a currency estimate authorises that payment route.
Continue with your own figures
Use the live catalogue, country guides and published refund policy when planning an actual order. Contact support about an unclear requirement before submitting.
